This is my first dedicated product review on my blog. Just wanted to be clear that that this review is in no way sponsored. My husband actually purchased this bag for me as a gift and it’s something I had my eye on since its release. This is actually the first Beis item I have ever owned.
Anyway, I’ve been looking for a tennis bag for a while now so when I saw this bag I knew it fit what I was looking for. Although it’s not a dedicated tennis bag, it fits a racquet perfectly and the pockets make it functional as an overall gym bag or even a travel bag.
I am a big analyzer and love to carefully examine a product before I make a purchase. Whether it’s a cheap or expensive purchase I enjoy investing my time and effort in ensuring a purchase is worth my hard earned money. This has been especially important since I’ve started to really curb my excessive shopping habits and be more mindful with my expenses.
So naturally this is what I did with this purchase before my husband decided to surprise me with it! I generally don’t believe in buying a designated travel bag that I cannot use for other parts of my life. The great thing about this bag is that although it’s a perfect gym bag, it’s also a great travel bag and can even be a work bag! I see myself using it for travel and the gym but probably not work because it’s a bit too causal for my work wardrobe.
COLOUR AND MATERIAL
The Beis Sport Carryall bag comes in slate, black and beige. I opted for beige because I am planning on eventually getting the Beis carry on luggage in beige some time in the future. I also love the look of the beige in this particular style. When I received the bag I was pleasantly surprised that the colour was pretty accurate to the stock photos online and the material was a high quality nylon-type fabric.
Size
The bag was a lot larger than expected and truthfully if I was carrying this bag everyday I would look silly due to my small frame. So if you’re looking for an everyday bag I would highly reconsider if you are around 5 feet tall. However it’s great in terms of utility. There is a large slip pocket at the front of the bag which is perfect for a tennis racket or a yoga mat. If you have a thicker yoga mat, you may have trouble fitting much else in the bag itself because of how it’s designed. There is also two pockets on the sides for water bottles. The great thing is that you can fit larger bottles in those pockets as well pretty easily.
Utility
Another great feature is the key strap which allows you to clip your keys, gym pass, or your car fob onto it for easy access. There is also a laptop section that just fits any type of ugly 16 inch work laptop that you may be forced to use (ha ha).
And last but not least, the trolley pass through which doubles as a pocket when the bottom zipper is closed can come in really handy. The trolley pass through, along with the size and the amount of pockets are the features that also really make this a great and functional travel bag.
PRICE
Lastly, and for some people most importantly, the price of this bag is $118 CAD. Keep in mind that you will also have to pay for shipping if you are purchasing in Canada which was pretty steep at $24 CAD. I believe the minimum purchase to earn free shipping is $220. So if you are planning on purchasing this bag, you should certainly keep that in mind. If you are interested in saving, there is a 15% discount if you sign up for e-mails.
I have been using this bag for a few weeks now exclusively for the gym and I am truly enjoying it. I have been able to carry my yoga mat as well as my yoga block, my jump ropes, resistance bands, my water bottle, my phone and my ipad to the gym which I have been doing on a daily basis. I am impressed with the material and the quality of the bag especially for the price. I would 100% recommend this product. It really helps you stay organized at the gym with all of the pockets and I trust it will serve as a great travel bag (I will certainly provide an update once I am able to use it for travel which is hopefully soon).
